With more and more lots of land being allocated and released for new housing developments, now is the time to be looking for your next role!  Having spoken to a number of contractors in the industry over the last month, a remarkable percentage have told me that they are furiously tendering for work and will need Supervisory staff in the 1^st quarter of next year.

Primarily based in Melbourne's North or West, these contractors have developed lasting relationships with Land Development clients and are enjoying the fact that they no longer have to deal with VicRoads and other Government departments.  They have indicated to me that there will be a great demand for Site Supervisory staff that have experience managing plant and labour as well as having a good understanding of construction contracts, variations and claims etc.

We are seeking applications from experienced Foremen that will be looking to step up and take on more responsibility.  Now is the time to act as you want to be the first candidate ready to go when construction begins.  To be successful, you will have around 5 years experience supervising sites of up to 50 lots with construction teams ranging from 15 - 30 people.  You will also understand the issues involved with material delivery and plant management.  A problem solver and effective communicator is needed for toolbox meetings and JSAs and a Red Card is an absolute must.

Salary packages have not yet been disclosed at this stage, however past experience and previous placements with these clients indicate that a base of between $74K and $85K will be offered to the right person.  Salaries will also include a car and a phone.
